Sabin was born in 10 February, 1989 to parents Kul Prasad Thamsuhang and Hemrani Limbu in Kachankawal, Jhapa.  He was brought up in a middle class family. He studied in Janata Prathamik Bidhyalaya till class 5 and passed SLC from Laxmi Higher Secondary School in 2065 BS.

He developed interest in music since childhood. He also used to participate in different programmes in school. Encouraged by his teachers and classmates, it was mandatory for him to sing in any school events. His singing skills were admired. This appreciation and encouragement led him in the musical path.

After completion of SLC, he came to Kathmandu where he started formal classes on music. He joined Shruti Sangit Bidhyalaya in 2065 BS to learn music. He used to sing since childhood and was admired but he realized he needed to ameliorate after starting formal education in music. In 2066 BS he decided to learn classical music. For this he chose Gurudev Kamad as his mentor. Gurudev Kamad is known as the great teacher in Nepali classical music. Learning never ends; but learning in Shruti Sangit Bidhyalaya and Gurudev Kamad’s guidance enhanced his singing ability.

He started recording songs and released his first album True Love in 2011. His first album was an instant hit. People loved his songs and the sale of first album was phenomenal. Sabin Limbu was established as a singer in his first try.

The success of his first album did not only bring happiness but added responsibilities too. He worked harder and released his second album Saas in 2014 which was a success too. This success and recognition brought him opportunities to sing in festivals and concerts in Nepal and abroad. He was demanded in such programmes. He has visited many countries in such musical tours.

Lately, the trend is to release single tracks than a whole album. After his second album, he has also released other songs as single track. His songs are not just liked by public but admired by critics as well.

Sabin has gained name and fame in a very short span of time. He had faced many obstacles but his passion for music made him keep going. And it is his hard work and dedication that has secured him a successful place in Nepali music industry. He has been felicitated with many awards as Best Singer. He has marked his name as a successful and accomplished singer, music composer, lyricist and arranger.
