Her journey into the world of professional singing began with her joining the 'Mhendomaya Yuva Samaj', where her dedication to preserving the traditional music of Nepal was ignited. In 1999 AD, under the leadership of this organization, Ramala lent her voice to three songs in the Mhendomaya Bhaka's collection titled 'Mhendomaya', marking her debut in the realm of folk music. The album garnered widespread acclaim, not only within the Tamang community but also in the broader folk music scene, leading to nationwide recognition of the Mhendomaya culture.

Following the success of the album 'Mhendomaya', Ramala continued to make significant contributions to folk music, collaborating on albums like 'Kapchang' in 2001 AD. In the year 2004 AD, after giving her voice in the song of the 'Career' album, her singing skills gained wide recognition. Her versatility as a singer earned her offers to sing various genres, leading to her recognition as a skilled vocalist.

Ramala has sung more than 600 folk songs, including popular songs like 'Lakpar Yondong', 'Saikole Kou', 'Randa Taparim', 'Shiraima Sirful', 'Sohr Napugai', and others. Each Mhendomaya song carries its own unique story, emotion, and cultural significance. Her deep understanding of Mhendomaya songs, coupled with her research into their mythological and cultural roots, has positioned her as a key advocate for the preservation of the Mhendomaya musical heritage.

Ramala has contributed significantly to the promotion of folk music, playing a pivotal role in advancing the music industry. She has been a leading member of various organizations dedicated to its promotion, including the Mhendomaya Artist Association, Tamang Artist Association, Music Association, National Folk and Duet Song Academy Nepal, Sundhara Samiti, and Performer Society Nepal. She is also an honorary member of the National Folk and Duet Song Academy Nepal and Sahayatra Nepal.

Throughout her illustrious career, Ramala has been known as a highly demanded singer. She has performed in many musical programs organized in different districts of Nepal and has also showcased her talent in musical programs organized in the UK, Japan, South Korea, Kuwait, Qatar, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India, and other countries.

Ramala has received numerous awards for Best Singing, including the 'Mhendomaya Music Award', 'Jambuling International Award', 'Genius Music Awards', 'Kabya Music Award', and others. Similarly, for her contribution to music, she has been honored with many accolades such as the 'National Personality and Talent Honor', and the 'National Youth and Talent Honor'. Cultural society Nepal, Royal Movies Pvt Ltd, Nepal Tamang Ghedung, and other organizations have also recognized her contributions.

With her deep knowledge of folk songs and the basic elements of singing, Ramala has also worked as a judge in various award ceremonies. She has presented her musical expertise as a judge at the 'Rapati National Music Award', 'Himalayan International Nepali Music Award', and others.
