Gautam Khati is a well-known name for adventure sports. He has set world record in his name and is also involved in acting. Also working as a trainer in adventure sports, Khati set his mind into sports since childhood. He started acting in 2056 BS. His debut was with late Director Prakash Thapa’s Nata Ragatko. But, adventure sports needed his time and focus, so he couldn’t continue acting then. Since 2020, he has made his comeback in acting profession.
He also works as Documentary Director and has acted in music videos and has won many awards and accolades.

Early Life
Gautam Khati was born in January 29, 1979 at Mahottari district, Bharatpur. Born in middle class family, his early childhood was simple. He had keen interest in sports since his early childhood. When he was in Class 7, he started taking Karate classes and he still works as Karate instructor.
Education
He completed his schooling from Shree Janata Secondary School. After passing SLC in 2050 BS, he came to Kathmandu for further studies and joined Shanker Dev Campus.
Khati also continued formal training in Karate. He had received Black Belt 1st dan in 2054 BS. He received his 2nd dan in Malaysia (2056) and 3rd dan in Singapore (2057).
Career Summary
Sports
Khati is renowned in adventure sports arena. He has made his mark in almost all of National adventure sports. He has set world record by skydiving from above 15,000 ft. in Karate Black belt dress. Apart from this, he has successfully performed rafting, bungee jumping, zip line, canyoning, horse riding, paragliding, rock climbing.
Khati has received numerous accolades during school days. He has given his best in National tournaments and has also represented Nepal internationally in various sports events. Having performed various minacious stunts he has proved himself to be the best in the field. Later, he got offers to work as an instructor. He has been continuously working as a Karate Instructor in different schools since 25 years.
Acting
His passion for acting took him to Paribartan Nepal in 2056 BS where he took acting lessons for a year. Then, he went on acting in street plays. He started his career as an actor in 2057 BS released film Nata Ragatko. The film was directed by late filmmaker Prakash Thapa.
Though he was passionate about acting, he couldn’t allocate sufficient time in this field as he was more focused on adventure sport at that time. Having made a niche for himself in sports, he has now returned to acting.
He is trying to get well acquainted with different sectors in arts. In fact, he is more concerned in collaborating sports and arts for the upliftment of both disciplines.
Achievements
Gautam Khati has received various accolades in both sports and arts. Internationally acclaimed Khati has set world record in adventure sport by skydiving from above 15,000 feet.
He has made a mark in sports arena and is well received in acting field too. From music videos to documentary direction, his works are applauded and honored with various national awards.
A sportsperson by profession and an artist by heart, Khati is dedicated in doing good works in both fields.
