Early life
Ganesh Shahi was born and brought up in Gajuri, Dhading to a Hindu family. He studied in Adharsa Higher Secondary School till Class XII.

Career
Shahi started off his career by establishing a music studio named "Life Time Creation" at his early age and side by side he launched his first album from Asian Music Centre naming "Galti (The Great Mistake)". He worked as a first Assistant Director in “Madhumas” (2014). His biggest success as an assistant director to date is November Rain, starring Aaryan Sigdel and Namrata Shrestha. Shahi’s third movie as an assistant director is Prasad (2018). He has written lyrics for his own assisted movie like Lai Lai for Prasad and so on.

Personal life
Ganesh Shahi’s father is a retired army officer and mother is a housewife. He has two brothers and a sister. Shahi is married to Binu Subedi Shahi and has two children daughter named Surangana R.L. Shahi and son named Saswat Bikram Shahi.
