Shailap Waiba started his music career in 2058 with his debut folk duet album, "Dandaima Debhithan," which was a huge success and gained him nationwide recognition. Since then, he has released a total of 10 musical albums, comprising more than 60 folk songs, over 100 Mendomaya (Tamang ) songs, and over 20 Tamang Selo songs.

Some of his most popular and hit songs include "Getma Phoolmala," "Raifal Chhodideu," "Maya Numbari," "Nimto Supari," "Hulaki Dai," "Purbeli Maichang," and "Yakko Taji Namsari." Shailap Waiba's songs are loved by people of all ages and backgrounds, and his music has made him a household name in Nepal.
