Prabhu Shrestha began his acting career in 1996 and has since become one of the popular actors in Nepal. He is a member of the Film Artist Association of Nepal (FAAN) and the chairperson of Prabhulaxmi Entertainment & Creative Company Pvt. Ltd (Film making company). Prabhu has acted in several hit Nepali films, including "Aafno Birano," "Yestai Hunchha Pirati," "Sangam," "Ma Birsu Kasari," "Parcel," and "Yeuta Yesto Prem Kahani" etc. He has also contributed to the Nepali music industry as a singer and lyricist, producing hit songs such as "Bideshi Maya", "Sukkha Dukkha Ki Saathi", and "Chhutti Chhoto Chha".

Apart from his acting and music career, Prabhu Shrestha is also an ex-Chief Inspector of Singapore Gurkha Police. He has a 3rd Dan in Karate, which he received in 2016. He was appreciated for his contributions to sport Sector at Singapore Open Karate Champion in 1998. He went on to represent Singapore in 7th World Open Kyokushin Karate Championship in Tokyo, Japan in 1999, and 8th Asia Open Kyokushin Karate Tournament in the Philippines in 2000. Additionally, he won the All-Style Martial Arts Championship 2001 in Singapore.

Prabhu Shrestha was honored by Nepal Film Workers Federation Province 1 for his contributions to the Nepali film industry. He continues to be an influential figure in both the Nepali entertainment and Sports Sector.
